MG Motor UK has confirmed the arrival of the all-new MGS6 EV, a mid-size electric SUV that expands the brand’s UK EV line-up to eight models. Orders are open now, with prices starting from £37,995.
A new electric option in the C-SUV class
The MGS6 EV sits on MG’s Modular Scalable Platform, the same architecture that underpins the MG4 EV. It uses a 77 kWh battery across the range, with both single motor rear-wheel drive and dual motor all-wheel drive options available.
MG says the car has already achieved a 5-star Euro NCAP safety rating, including a 92 per cent adult occupant score and 84 per cent result for vulnerable road users.

The range consists of three models:
- SE Long Range - 180 kW RWD, 329 miles WLTP
- Trophy Long Range - 180 kW RWD, 329 miles WLTP
- Trophy Dual Motor - 266 kW AWD, 301 miles WLTP
All versions charge from 10 to 80 per cent in a claimed 38 minutes on rapid public chargers. Five drive modes and five regeneration modes are fitted as standard, including a one-pedal setting.
Performance and drivetrain detail

The dual motor Trophy produces 361 PS and 540 Nm, giving a 0 to 62 mph time of 5.1 seconds and automatic AWD engagement when traction requires it.
Rear-drive versions produce 244 PS and 350 Nm, with a 7.3 second 0 to 62 mph time. Top speed for both setups is limited to 124 mph.
The car uses MacPherson front suspension and a multi-link rear layout, with an 11.1 metre turning circle for the single-motor models.
MG says the car’s aerodynamic work involved more than 900 simulations and 5,000 minutes of wind tunnel testing, contributing to a drag coefficient of 0.27. Features such as an active grille shutter system, wheel deflectors and aero wheel covers help maximise range.

Interior, space and technology
Inside, the MGS6 EV aims for a more upmarket feel than previous MG SUVs. Soft-touch materials, hidden air vents, physical dials for core functions and a choice of grey or beige leather-style upholstery are offered.

All versions include:
- 10.25 inch digital driver display
- 12.8 inch central touchscreen
- Heated front seats
- Over 30 interior storage areas
- A large boot (674 litres)
- A front storage compartment up to 124 litres

Trophy models add ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof with electric blind, an 11-speaker audio system and a head up display.
MG’s iSMART app is included, allowing remote cabin preconditioning, tyre pressure checks and vehicle location.
Safety and driver assistance
Seven airbags are standard, along with MG Pilot, the brand’s driver assistance package. It includes:
- Active Emergency Braking
- Lane keeping and lane change assistance
- Blind spot detection
- Intelligent speed limit assist
- Driver monitoring
MG Pilot Custom allows drivers to save preferred ADAS settings.
MG has worked with Continental on an integrated braking booster system designed specifically for EVs. Front and rear disc sizes give a claimed 36 metre stopping distance from 62 mph on single-motor variants.
Design and equipment
MG has carried over styling themes from the MG Cyberster, including a split grille layout and distinctive daytime running light signature. The rear features a full-width light bar beneath the MG badge, which the company says contributes to aerodynamic efficiency.

Wheel options include 19 inch alloys for the SE and 20 inch designs for both Trophy models. More than 80 per cent of the body is constructed from high strength steels.
Colour choices include Arctic White, Camden Grey, Cosmic Silver, Dynamic Red and Pearl Black, with a new Stratford Gold option introduced for this model.

MG has confirmed the following OTR pricing:
- MGS6 EV SE Long Range - £37,995
- MGS6 EV Trophy Long Range - £40,995

MG says the MGS6 EV is intended to broaden its presence in the mid-size EV SUV market, offering what the firm describes as accessible technology and strong real-world range.
