Andersen EV is offering six months of free home charging to anyone buying one of its chargers from 1 March 2026, delivered through Octopus Energy's Intelligent Octopus Go tariff.

The offer follows the companies' existing partnership, which launched in September 2025 with a 5,000-mile free charging promotion. This new deal is timed to coincide with the March new registration plate, when EV sales typically spike.

According to Andersen, six months of free charging equates to around 4,370 miles of driving and £234 in electricity savings. That figure is based on charging at Intelligent Octopus Go's off-peak rate of 7.5p per kWh rather than the current standard variable rate of around 24.67p. Buyers need to be on Octopus Energy's smart EV tariff to access the offer, which schedules charging automatically during off-peak hours overnight.

Andersen's chargers start at £695 for the Quartz model, with typical installations of the A2 and A3 units - which feature a hidden tethered cable - running closer to £2,000. All models come with a 7-year warranty and are hand-built at Andersen's facility in Bedfordshire.

The company notes that government EV charger grants have recently been expanded, but these only apply to renters, flat owners, and households without private driveways. From April 2026, eligible applicants will be able to claim up to £500 toward installation costs, up from the current £350.

David Martell, Andersen's CEO, said the offer would help encourage motorists to make the switch: "The March plate change remains one of the most significant moments in the UK motoring calendar."
